Caring Campus
Caring Campus is a student-focused initiative aimed at providing a welcoming, inclusive environment that celebrates our diverse students and campus community, and actively works towards increasing student’s experiences of connection and sense of belonging.
Through our Caring Campus efforts, we are dedicated to putting students first.
Caring Campus behavioral commitments:
- Caring Communication: Introduce Yourself
- Warm Referrals: Take the person to their next step or call ahead
- Know Other Departments: Know our College, so we can help students
- Reach Out to Students: Follow-up on interactions
Our Caring Campus facilitator Sheila White said it best:
“Think students, then decide.”
Caring Campus Crosswalk to City Ways Caring Campus
We want you to think of Caring Campus as a crosswalk to City Ways. City Ways is what we aspire to do, and Caring Campus is how we actualize those goals.
Caring Campus Champion
The goal of Caring Campus Champions is to recognize classified professionals who are actualizing our virtual or traditional behavioral commitments.
Caring Campus History and Accomplishments
How the Caring Campus effort was born and what has been accomplished since.
Caring Campus Long-Term Planning Committee (CCLTPC)
Our focus is to develop implementation, monitoring, and communication plans, to ensure the work we started in summer 2020 continues, to hold all constituencies accountable, and to present and share behavioral commitments and efforts with our college community.
