Canvas Resources for Career Education Exploration (Registration Required)

This workshop will introduce a newly created Canvas-based collection of CE resources:

• Career Education Program Overview and a Video that introduces students to 10 different CE programs
• Quick access to a CE counselor and to the CE Transitions Coordinator for immediate support
• Modules for each program that include:
  • career opportunities
  • job outlook and salary ranges
  • industry sector powerpoints
  • promotional videos created by the California Community College system, the Los Rios Community College District, SCC and additional sponsors
• Options to schedule interactive Virtual Tours (under development)
• Opportunities to interact with current students in the major (to be newly edited each semester).

The workshop will encourage feedback and participation in the development or provision of additional resources to add to the Canvas collection to make it a comprehensive 'one-stop' venue to encourage students to explore.
