According to Ibram Kendi,
"We can knowingly strive to be an antiracist. Like fighting an addiction, being antiracist requires persistent self-awareness, constant self-criticism, and regular self-examination".
In this workshop, we will continue self-reflecting on how we can be an antiracist in our roles at SCC. We will engage in in-depth discussions on the following questions:
- Do you think SCC is a racist or antiracist college?
- Can you identify specific protective policies that cause SCC to be racist or antiracist?
- What would you lose or gain if all policies at SCC were antiracist?
- How can you create systemic change in your role at SCC?
Flex credit is available for this event.
