Learn about Los Rios's efforts to prevent and protect from opioid overdose and drink spiking. The greater Sacramento area has experienced an increase in opioid overdose deaths each year, however with the wide distribution of Narcan and education, these rates are starting to decline. Come learn what you can do to help prevent and protect our community.
The training will include:
- Free access to opioid overdose and drink spiking test kits
- Learning about the dangers of fentanyl and drink spiking
- Signs of an opioid overdose or drink spike
- How to test substances
- How administer Narcan
- Rescue Narcan on campus
- Harm reduction strategies
