WorkAbility III: Offering Full Circle Career Supports

Education has the potential to offer social mobility by opening the doors to employment for many individuals. However, individuals with disabilities often face significant barriers on their career path. The Los Rios WorkAbility III program provides a number of services to help students with apparent and non-apparent disabilities (e.g. learning disabilities, ADHD, anxiety, depression, chronic health conditions etc.) remove barriers to employment and reach their career goals, including vocational assessments, employment preparation, internship and job leads, and job retention assistance. Come to this workshop to learn more about how WorkAbility III and the Department of Rehabilitation might benefit the students you work with!

Disability is the one category that intersects with all other marginalized identities and disproportionately impacted students (especially students of color and low income students) – often causing exponential barriers to reaching their educational and career goals. This workshop will inform faculty and staff about the WorkAbility III program, which supports students with disabilities across the district in connecting to campus and community resources to help them complete their education and reach their career goals.
