Committee Charge
Sacramento City College’s Sustainability Committee will work with the campus community and make recommendations regarding projects and policies that promote environmental justice and sustainability. The committee creates and maintains campus sustainability initiatives and identifies practices that promote efficient, responsible, and equitable use of SCC resources.
Committee Goals
- Informing faculty, staff, and students about the impact of their actions on the environment and understanding the implications of climate change.
- Working with the campus community to develop and implement SCC’s Sustainability Plan to promote environmental, economic, and social justice objectives.
- As part of the college’s shared governance, this committee advocates and provides informed guidance on sustainability issues to other committees and campus entities in the college’s decision-making processes.
