NameCoach helps with the pronunciation of student names by allowing students to record their names as they prefer them to be pronounced. Students can also provide their preferred pronoun. To enable NameCoach for your courses, please follow the instructions below.
- In your Canvas course, click "Settings" in your course navigation menu.
- Within Settings mode, click the Navigation tab at the top of the page.
- From the Navigation menu, find the NameCoach list item and click the three vertical dots (menu) on the right side of that list item. Then, choose "Enable".
- Click "Save" at the bottom of the page to make the tool available within your course.
Repeat this process for other courses in which you wish to use this tool. These settings should remain in place in future semesters if you copy course content from one semester to the next.
