English Lounge
The English Lounge is open to all students who want a place to work on reading and writing assignments. Additionally, students may enroll in ENGLB 55 (a 0.5-unit, credit/no-credit course) to work on and improve their reading and writing skills with the guidance of a professor. All materials are provided. There is no required textbook to purchase.
The English Lounge offers support for reading and writing assignments in specific college classes. Students meet regularly with their Lab instructor to discuss and review their plan of study.
English Lounge tutors provide one-on-one assistance to students in all areas of reading comprehension and writing skill development. In addition to receiving assistance from tutors and instructors, students develop their reading and writing skills through guided practice with their college class materials.

ENGLB 55
ENGLB 55 is in-person for Fall 2023. Each section of ENGLB 55 is a support class for any college course that requires reading and writing assignments.
