Science and Allied Health Tutoring

The Science & Allied Health Tutoring Center (SAHTC) located in Natural Sciences Building, NAS-115, is a study skills center established to support students enrolled in Science and Allied health courses. Our mission is to improve student success in science and allied health courses and to help students become confident, independent learners by developing study skills that are crucial to navigating science-related coursework and their success.

Tutoring is available to students enrolled in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and to students enrolled in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program, the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program, or the Vocational Nursing and Associate Degree Nursing Program.

Students are encouraged to use the center on a drop-in basis, and subject-specific tutoring schedules are available online and posted on the bulletin board outside the Science and Allied Health Tutoring Center (Natural Sciences Building, NAS-115).

What We Do

The SAHTC currently offers appointment-based and drop-in tutoring, both online and on-campus, for these courses:

• Biology: BIOL 430
• Chemistry: CHEM 300, CHEM 305, CHEM 400
• Physics: PHYS 350, PHYS 410

Instructional assistants are available to:

• assist students and faculty with schedules
• coordinate the center’s daily operations
• connect students with campus resources
