This session will cover ways in which faculty can help students learn to network and get jobs. Networking is a critical skill for job hunting and in many other areas of professional success. However, students, faculty, and staff are often confused about how to network professionally or how to teach these skills to others. Come to this engaging and practical session about networking given by Pamela Posz, author of Power Posz: and Other Hacks for Getting the Job You Want. She’ll cover what professional networking is, why it’s important, how to use the LinkedIn platform effectively, professional networking opportunities such as conferences and informational interviews, and much more.
