Standing Committee Tri-Chair Training

Whether you're a brand-new committee tri-chair or a seasoned veteran, this workshop is for you! In this session, you'll learn how standing committees function within the larger governance system at the college, as well as how to provide effective leadership for your committee. We'll discuss how to set goals and priorities for your committees; how to use BoardDocs to post agendas, minutes, and supporting documents; how to facilitate meetings effectively; and how to move forward with action steps. We'll also talk about the relationship between the college's standing committees and Executive Council, and discuss best practices for effective communication between the two entities.
