Packed with a celebration of who we are - celebrating our new classified professionals, faculty and administrators, celebrating essential elements of SCC, celebrating students. We are such a rich campus community and as we continue to reflect on the past couple years and envision the future, what kind of college will we be?
To provide as much flexibility as possible for faculty and staff, Convocation will have both an in-person and a virtual option.

Our purpose is to focus attention on student learning as we envision our changing college. How can the library – as the iconic symbol of education – center us around equity, textbook affordability, and a campus that reflects the identities of a diverse student community?
In this exploration on the 3rd floor of LRC, we will explore personal, professional and institutional goals all which help enhance our connection to students. We would not be within the positions of privilege we are in without our students.

For those that choose to stay with us for the lunch hour, we invite you to let the richness of the day sink in before many of us move to department and division meetings in the afternoon.
If you plan a solitary exploration for lunch or a lunch among a smaller group of colleagues, we encourage you to continue to talk about those moments and people that inspired you throughout the day.
We hope to have procured light snacks and refreshments for this time. We encourage you to additionally bring a more substantial lunch and share this lunch hour in conversation with colleagues.
