Tutoring
Tutoring services are provided to support student success. It is available for free for all students that are currently enrolled.
SCC offers department-specific tutoring and “Open” tutoring service for all academic and vocational classes. Appointment and availability differs in each tutoring lab; please seek tutoring from the lab that is most relevant to your discipline.
Tutoring Lab hours are subject to change and may vary throughout the semester. It is strongly advised that students call to get the most updated information regarding the labs.
Business and Computer Information Science Labs
The Business & Computer Information Science (CIS) tutoring and study labs are available to students enrolled in at least one Business or CIS Division class. The two labs are a convenient place to study between classes and offer course materials, tutoring, computers, internet access, Wi-Fi, and printing.
English Lounge
The English Lounge is open to students enrolled in ENGLB 55 (a 0.5-unit, credit/no-credit course).
ESL Lab
The ESL Center offers intensive English language exposure (texts and literature, audio and visual media, & computer and web programs) to help you improve your success rate in all classes.
Math/Stats Tutoring Lab
The SCC Math/Stats Tutoring Lab offers drop-in tutoring support in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics and a variety of other Math-related courses and pursuits.
Music Lab
The Music Lab features nine computer workstations equipped with all the software needed to complete coursework in MIDI and Recording Arts classes.
Technology & Innovation Design Lab
The Design Lab is available as a resource to students enrolled in Design & Digital Media (D&DM) or Engineering Design Technology (EDT) courses. Students have access to a variety of hardware and software that they can use to complete course assignments.

We at the Tutoring and Learning Center help Sacramento City College students achieve college success—by providing them with appropriate resources and assistance designed to meet their academic needs.
Writing Center
The mission of the Writing Center is to help all SCC students become more effective, confident, and independent writers by providing assistance with writing in courses across the disciplines.
