Public Information Office

These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitating media interviews
  • Producing and reviewing the college’s online and print publications
  • Communicating important information to employees and students
  • Strategizing for marketing and brand awareness

The Communications and Public Information Officer is the college spokesperson when responding to the media or may work with other college staff to advise them on how to prepare for media interviews. All media inquiries should be referred to this office.

The Public Information Office produces a weekly employee e-newsletter and a weekly student e-newsletter. The newsletters are intended to be a compilation of timely campus news and events — we try to make it as comprehensive as possible, so please give us a heads up on what’s happening on campus that you want your colleagues or our students to know about!

Posting and Guidelines

The posting guidelines were established to provide simple procedures for producing and posting flyers, announcements and posters on campus. Additionally, following the procedures helps ensure that all college-related groups have fair access to campus bulletin boards, and helps maintain the aesthetics of our buildings.

Media

All media inquiries should be referred to the Communications and Public Information Officer (CPIO). The CPIO is the college spokesperson when responding to the media or may work with other college representatives in facilitating media interviews.
