Public Information Office
The Public Information Office oversees the internal and external communications needs of the college. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
- Facilitating media interviews
- Producing and reviewing the college’s online and print publications
- Communicating important information to employees and students
- Strategizing for marketing and brand awareness
All media inquiries should be referred to the Public Information Office. The Public Information Officer is the college spokesperson when responding to the media or may facilitate media interviews with the appropriate college or district representative.
PIO Services
Faculty and staff members may submit request for help publicizing an event or program.
The Public Information Office produces weekly e-newsletters for employees and students. The newsletters are intended to be a compilation of timely campus news and events, targeted to each specific audience — we try to make it as comprehensive as possible, so please give us a heads up on what's happening on campus that you want your colleagues or our students to know about!
The Public Information oversees and maintains the Sacramento City College official website, as well as the Inside employee website.
The posting guidelines were established to provide simple procedures for producing and posting flyers, announcements and posters on campus. Additionally, following the procedures helps ensure that all college-related groups have fair access to campus bulletin boards, and helps maintain the aesthetics of our buildings.
All media inquiries should be referred to the Public Information Officer. The PIO is the college spokesperson when responding to the media or may facilitate media interviews with the appropriate college or district representative.
